and welcome to my personal website.
Here I would like to introduce myself to you and share some of my work, you can also get in touch with me through the contact form.

My name is Emmie, I live in Amsterdam the Netherlands and I have a passion for equality, intersectional feminism, social justice, and meaningful inclusion. I have combined my BA in Sign Linguistics with an MSc in International Development Studies, conducting research on the Human Rights of Deaf children in Uganda to quality education.

Since 2013 I have been working as a project manager for the international department of a health and education provider.  Working in a small team with grand ambitions has allowed me to gain broad experiences, from project design and acquisition to delivering content training, from recruiting experts to leading project teams, and from financial management to project implementation.

I have managed projects in the Netherlands, Asia, and Africa. My projects are predominantly focussed on Reading skills for Deaf and hard of hearing children,  teacher training, capacity building for self-advocates, teachers & teacher trainers, and curriculum development.
